Polio Place

A service of Post-Polio Health International

About Polio Place

Post-Polio Health International’s mission is to enhance the lives and independence of polio survivors and home ventilator users through education, advocacy, research and networking.

PHI, with the generous support of the Roosevelt Warm Springs Foundation, is committed to reaching out to survivors and their families, health professionals and policymakers in countries where living successfully with polio is not a priority.

A Special invitation. In pursuing its outreach goal, PHI will proactively seek the opinions and needs of younger survivors worldwide to become involved in our efforts. We request that groups or individual survivors in countries where the post-polio community is not networked to connect with us through the “Contact” form.

Next steps for Polio Place. The areas of the site will be expanded with more photographs and texts, and with relevant video. PHI welcomes additional funding partners for this phase of the site.

Acknowledgments. Projects such as this require ideas and people power, in addition to funding.
